Project Palianytsia: Frogwares announces a new project

Frogwares has announced that they are working on a new title. The studio has set up its entire remaining team for a new game, although the war in Ukraine still has an impact on their lives.

For the time being, it is called Project Palianytsia and is a mixture of an original horror paired with Mystery from the Victorian age, which is aimed at fans of Frogwares' The Sinking City and Sherlock Holmes series.

Four first concept drawings were published to take a first look at the project. The official unveiling of the game will hopefully be seen at some point this summer.

"We are now revealing the game in this way to simply show people that we continue, and also as a clear middle finger to those who thought they could just come to our country and hope to disturb our life and to ruin. "

"Everything we have published during the war was an existing project that still had to be completed. Now we are doing something almost completely new, which is much more difficult under these circumstances, so we had to think carefully about what is realistic for us. The idea was approved for this reason because it is something that our current team and setup can deliver, compared to the pre-production of another open world title, what we did before the war. ”

“The name Palianytsia is symbolic of Ukraine because it is considered part of our national cuisine. But he is also the equivalent to Dark Souls for Russians, who often cannot pronounce it properly if they try to pretend to be a Ukrainian. And so it is now often used as a test to quickly recognize the possible belonging of unknown people, ”Sergey Oganesyan, communications manager, Frogwares.
