Développeur Frogwares: Don’t Buy The Sinking City sur Steam
A little over a week ago, The Sinking City of Frog wares came out on PS5 and came back on Steam. The developer is in the process of judicial proceedings with the old Bacon publisher. Due to the previous console versions published by Bacon, they are not eligible for a free upgrade towards the current generation of consoles. After the return of The Sinking City on Steam, you would think everything is fine, but you are mistaken. For some reason, Steam verified the old version of the game, that published by Bacon.
So far, the courts have been in the Bacon side, which is why the STEAM version has been re-registered with Bacon as a publisher. However, if frog wares, or any other developer, are not paid properly for their work, we will miss to games that can not be created. The Nintendo Switch, the PS5 and the other PC versions of the game are self-published by Frog wares, so the sales come back to them, but they discourage fans from buying the one currently on Steam.
Bacon climbed the bill they owe in Frog wares for a while, so avoid buying the game on Steam. Currently, GamesPlanet is the only online retailer to sell the game on PC with frog wares listed as publisher. If you want to support Frog wares, that would be the place to do it. The Sinking City is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
